We have excellent national marketing capabilities and scale, that we need to leverage to increase customer and brand-led strategy, marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
This Senior Marketing Manager, Brand Planning will sit within the Brand Strategy & Planning team, which will be instrumental in implementing more effective Go-To-Market planning & campaigns. It is a newer discipline within the organization, requiring an entrepreneurial mindset combined with excellent organizational & executional skills. The position will be based in Pleasanton, California.
Main responsibilities
- Develop and define quarterly planning process, solutioning for multiple teams with their own timelines & priorities.
- Own quarterly planning execution, from intake & kickoff to key milestones & calendarization
- Support brand marketing team by prioritizing business requests and managing portfolio of marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate and collaborate with key teams outside of the National marketing team to ensure synchronization of priorities.
- Manage strategic marketing projects or campaigns that support corporate business priorities.
- Develop omni-channel briefs for partner- & in-house agencies
- Develop communication strategy, messaging frameworks and content guidance for new initiatives.
- Conduct, evaluate and synthesize competitive research, market intelligence, trends, and industry best practices to help prepare recommendations for various branding, naming, or marketing initiatives.
- Be a team player willing to jump in and help where needed in a small, growing team.
- Manage a senior coordinator to assist in these efforts.
The salary range is $114,100 to $159,700 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include, medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, and sick pay (accrued based on hours worked). PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in brand marketing strategy or integrated marketing, preferably at internal marketing organizations working with brand, creative, and performance partners. Experience in digital marketing, ecommerce, retail and/or strategy preferred.
- Experience managing a team.
- Potential travel requirements 1-2x / quarter
