Job Description
Senior designer with a high level of experience in design, and the ability to function as a Project Lead for small to large capital projects.
- Understand and interpret codes and specifications related to design requirements
- Work collaboratively with others (Project Managers, Engineers and Designers) in a team environment to resolve design/drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives
- Verify accuracy and completeness of all deliverable products and services in assigned areas of responsibility
- Assist in administration, training others on AutoCAD and/or CADworx including setting up specifications and creating complete mechanical packages
- Answer questions from Client and/or construction groups on design for assigned project
- Leadership skills needed to supervise and assist the technical work of less experienced designers and/or drafters who share in the design effort
Candidate Specification
We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:
- Associates Degree and 10+ years of experience in facilities creating mechanical drafting/design drawings preferably in Meter Stations, Pump Stations, Oil Separation Facilities, Compression Stations and As-builds
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- The ability and skill level to organize, delegate and oversee a team of designers and draftsman to complete a project from start to finish
- Understand the scope and limits of responsibility between various engineering disciplines and project support groups
- An advanced understanding of the latest version of AutoCAD and/or CADworx
- Create and modify drawings using nationally recognized standards, client supplied specifications, and Mott MacDonald drafting standards
Salary Range: $80K – $120K based of experience
