Position: Senior Mobile Engineer
Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Create Mobile Applications on iOS Platform that will be used for delivery of groceries and general merchandizing items purchased from Walmart Application. Work closely with engineering managers, Tech Leads, Software Engineers, product managers and business teams to provide technology solutions to meet the business and technology vision. Code Mobile Application using Languages including Swift, Obj-C. Utilize different iOS Frameworks to Optimize and Refactor existing code base as well as add new functionalities to the iOS Application using object-oriented and functional programming languages on X-Code. Write Unit Tests Using XcTest and RxTest to ensure robustness of the code return for iOS Application. Conduct Bug fixing by analyzing and identifying issues in Spark iOS Application. Debug issues using Xcode and analyze logs to identify erroneous behavior. Participate in Requirement Gathering and designing review of new features, provide technical feasibility and solutions to the complex business problems. Represent iOS Engineering team in technical and architectural discussion with other Engineering teams such as Backend/Front End. Use GIT and other software management tools such as Jira and Confluence to maintain code and issues related to the Spark Driver and other Walmart Applications. Use open-source libraries and frameworks including Crashlytics, Core-Data, and Sqlite to Optimize and write efficient code. Provide iOS Builds with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment to release iOS Application for testing and Appstore. Learn and adapt new technologies to be shared among the teams in order to improve the overall engineering process in rapidly changing technology industry.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.
Skills required: Experience in Mobile Application Development. Experience in iOS Platform and the associated tool chains. Experience in Swift and Objective-C for iOS Application Development. Experience with Shipping and Deploying at least one iOS Application. Experience with Unit Testing, UI testing and Test Automations, XCTest, Jenkins, and Continuous Integration/Deployment. Experience with data structures and algorithms, Representational State Transfer (REST), and JSON. Experience gathering business requirements and converting them into technical requirements for implementation. Experience in iOS libraries, SDK, Tools-XCode, CocoaPods, Carthage, Swift Package Manager, Alamofire, AutoLayout, UIKit, Kingfisher, Object Mapper, and Crashlytics. Experience in Software Architecture and Design Patterns, Client-Server Architecture, Protocol/Object Oriented Programming, and Mobile System Architectures. Experience with Software Development Tools including Git, Github, Postman, Source tree, Agile Development Process, and JIRA. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: The annual salary range for this full-time position is $192,941/year to $200,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
