The Business Development team works directly with strategic business partners (licensees) to grow and enhance the Starbucks brand. The team is known for thought leadership and cross-functional collaboration that address unique market opportunities. LS Business development partners (employees) operate as general managers and have ownership of strategic partnership strategy, business development, negotiations, relationship management, technology implementation, and program adoption.
As a senior national account executive, you will…
• Create, own and manage key corporate relationships with key business decision makers.
• Establish and drive new store development strategy for team, existing portfolio management, channel expansion and capital investments.
• Lead cross functional initiatives across marketing, category, finance, sales, store development, design, technology, and store operations to drive licensee performance and shape behavior.
• Leads and supports team with negotiation of new and existing master licensing agreements.
We’d love to hear from people with:
• 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree
• Direct B2B sales and strategic account management with key external partnerships at Fortune 500, premium/luxury brands, and/or food & beverage companies (8+ years)
• General Management: application of multi-disciplinary business practices (e.g., marketing, strategy, finance, store development, operations) (8+ years)
• Direct experience negotiating complex multiyear agreements and contracts with executives (5+ years)
• Franchise and/or licensing development and/or experience (5+ years)
• National program management (3+ years)
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving capabilitie
• Extraordinary ability to build relationships cross functionally with both internal and external team
• Ability to influence leaders in significant investment decisions and change management
• Ability to adapt strategies and plans, and thrive in an ambiguous environment
• Expertise at simplifying complicated material to communicate in a concise and effective way
