Senior Operations, Incubation & Integration, STP PRIVATE PRICING APPROVALS

Amazon Web Services Spending & Transaction Policy Team is looking for a talented Senior Operations Leader to support AWS’ dynamic and rapidly growing business. Amazon Web Services is at the forefront of the “cloud” computing and service industry providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, delivery, database services, browsers and more.

Reporting to the Approvals Global Leader, this role will be the thought leader responsible for owning all deal approval integration goals, initiatives, strategy, and communications.

A successful candidate will be able to distill diverse inputs from large internal customer segments and stakeholders to set a vision, design strategy, and achieve consensus on goals and priorities; work with internal or external cross-functional teams to execute integration milestones; communicate with senior leadership on integration status; train teams in preparation for onboarding; and work backwards to successfully integrate business unit. Key job responsibilities

Write narratives and lead meetings to secure alignment from GDSP and Business Unit leadership on approvals integration project plan
• Create and own the project plan scope and roadmap for all deal approval related integration initiatives;
• Partner with business unit stakeholders to execute on project plan
• Develop and implement operational efficiency strategies including challenging existing deal approvals policies and processes to optimize performance of approvals processing end to end.
• Collaborate with Approvals Team to onboard approvals processing and monitor post transition activities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience leading internal and executive alignment, building consensus, operationalizing programs, and maintaining transformational initiatives.
  • 10+ years of business operations experience (may include finance, legal, or other comparable experience).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Management experience running an operations team (preferably global)
  • Executive level written and oral communication skills
  • Legal experience, or strong finance background demonstrating a high level of analytical aptitude
  • Ability to lead by demonstrating sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
  • Excellent goal setting and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet organizational deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
