Department Summary
The Billing and Credit department supports the needs of DISH Wireless subscribers, agents, installers, and external departments by providing upfront analysis for enterprise releases and projects. The department also provides support for back-office operations and processes. The department is comprised of multiple facets with specific focus on targeted operational objectives that include, but are not limited to:
- Customer Payments, Refunds, and Chargebacks
- Billing Accuracy
- Invoice & Usage Accuracy
- Customer Fraud
- Revenue Assurance
- Vendor Relations (ie. CSG, Payment Gateways/Processors, eCom, Crypto, etc)
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior Payments Analyst will serve as the product owner of Dish Wireless Payments within Billing and Credit for all projects, & payment related projects, initiatives, and escalations tied to Dish Wireless payment operations as we undergo a period of rapid growth and expansion. A successful candidate will have a strong focus on communication, the ability to manage multiple processes and work streams, and successfully advocate for the betterment of the payment’s experience for our customers. Also, this candidate will work on various lines of business within Dish Wireless, data analysis, process automation initiatives, and is able to act as a team lead with regards to payment strategy and effective operations.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and fully understand processes and their impact on the overall Dish business; analyze, identify, and implement potential process and systems enhancements to create efficiencies and reduce resource allocation for routine tasks, procedures, and reports; assist in the completion of projects and using discretion to determine the methods to meet established goals
- Lead prioritization planning and implementation of team tasks and projects to ensure a positive customer experience and productive team dynamic
- Own the operations for all Dish Payment items linked to retail or wholesale payments, chargebacks, interchange, fraud, and refunds
- Execute all customer or partner payment release related activities for the organization from a Billing and Credit department perspective
- Evaluate business opportunities to determine and implement initiatives to business needs and departmental OKR’s (Objectives and Key Results)
- Influence cross-functional teams, including executive level, with effective communication around project goals and team needs to ensure B&C is able to successfully implement new processes & functionalities
- Responsible for the customer experience from a payment’s perspective, by continually optimizing the payment experience end-to-end
- Serve as POC & SME for internal and external partners for the wireless payment’s tasks and responsibilities
Skills, Experience and Requirements
A successful Senior Payments Analyst will have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics, and at least 4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience OR Master’s Degree with at least two years of related experience
- Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision while producing results towards operational goals
- Experience working in or with payment gateways/processors and demonstrated knowledge of card payment acceptance processes is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and work with Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP functions, and exposure to Macros
- Experience with SQL OR demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with and work alongside technical teams (Data Analysts, Front and Back-end Developers, API Architects, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common metrics used to measure and monitor operational performance, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide clear and concise communication with a wide audience of internal departments
Salary Range
Compensation: $65,800.00/Year – $94,000.00/Year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role’s location and is subject to change based on work location.
