Senior Pharmacy Benefits Analytics Manager

Milliman SkySail is looking for a Senior Pharmacy Benefits Analytics Manager who will be responsible for assisting Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), Pharmacies, Payers, and Brokers with contracting processes within the Pharmacy Benefit space. This person will anticipate and satisfy the needs of the client by providing guidance, insights, and suggestions on the contracts while setting and meeting the appropriate timelines. This individual will report to the Senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultant.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide Ad Hoc analytics related to Pharmacy Benefit pricing, such as MAC appeals, contract mapping, network identifications, pricing strategies, RFPs, claim repricing, and reconciliations
  • Acquire, standardize, and merge various data sets to provide summarized reports
  • Support various analytic efforts for Milliman clients by querying data and help design reporting
  • Work with IT team to help test new additions to the platform
  • Participate in meetings and communication with Payers, PBMs, Pharmacies, team members, and other Milliman practices
  • Collaborate with Milliman Pharmacy Consultants and other Business Analysts to set and meet timelines
  • Facilitate use of tools, reports, and dashboards to provide updates and analyses
  • Appropriately engage other business units and departments
  • Identify growth / new opportunities for team to bring to clients for lead generation
  • Be able to work independently, but also actively lead teams utilizing pharmacy data expertise on various projects
  • Manage client relationships, projects, assignments, presentations, and deliverables

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (in any field) preferred, but not required
  • Four years of related professional experience in PBM industry or PBM consulting
  • Understanding of PBM contracting and underwriting
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmacy claims reimbursement (ex. WAC, AWP, discounts, rebates, etc.)
  • Strong command of Excel (pivot tables) as well as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of querying languages, SQL preferred.
  • Willing and able to travel nationwide

Salary: For this position, we are offering $80,000 to $125,000 annually, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, qualifications, certifications, location, etc.

Location: This role is based out of the Milliman SkySail office, but candidates can work remotely anywhere in the United States.
