Senior Pharmacy Benefits Analytics Manager (CMH Health)

Milliman’s CMH Health practice is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Benefits Analytics Manager to work in a fast-growing area of the practice. The Senior Pharmacy Benefits Analytics Manager should have strong experience in pharmacy claims analysis. The position will involve accurately diagnosing client problems, developing project proposals, refining project strategy, outlining a project plan, managing internal resources, and presenting the results to the client. The Senior Pharmacy Benefits Analytics Manager may assist clients such as employers, health plans, PBMs, and pharmaceutical companies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnose client problems, project implications, and action items
  • Meet task and project deadlines and assist in managing budgets
  • Review initial work product developed by product teams
  • Draft accurate, complete, and reasonable initial client communications for review
  • Delegate and lead the technical direction of client projects
  • Follow CMH Health quality and documentation guidelines and other applicable policies
  • Train and coach staff
  • Develop staff by providing timely project feedback on every project
  • Meet or exceed annual client billable hour expectations (1,600 hours)

  • Trend Related Analysis
  • Analyzing pharmacy data to provide solutions for cost-containment
  • Milliman Health Cost Guidelines Pharmacy Research
  • Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and Commercial Pharmacy Formulary Analysis
  • Payer-PBM request for proposal (RFP) and Market Checks
  • Pharmaceutical Company Strategy Support (e.g., analytics to support formulary negotiations and modeling coverage gap discount program liabilities)

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (quantitative field preferred)
  • 5 years of pharmacy claims analysis experience
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced proficiency using pharmacy pricing data such as Medi-Span and RJ Health
  • Basic proficiency using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, SAS or other programming language is preferred

Salary: The salary range is $85,000 to $140,000, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc.

Location: It is preferred that this candidate work in-office at the Milwaukee, Chicago, or Harford office. Remote candidates will be considered.
