JOB PURPOSE
Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a Senior PR Manager based in Los Angeles, for our growing Marketing & Media team. In this role, the Sr. Manager will play a key role in the development and definition the communications strategy for the Fanatics Collectibles business. Additionally, the Sr. Manager plays a key role in protecting the Fanatics Collectibles reputation, managing issues through crises communication, and enforcing organization guidelines.
The Communications team actively manages all external communication and partners with external media that matter/agencies and cross-functional marketing teams to share and amplify the key messages. The team must also develop and maintain strong partnerships with Executive Leadership, Product, Legal, and HR to play a key role in advising on communications.
This position will be responsible for handling a wide variety of duties, which include, but are not limited to the ones listed below.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our VP of Communications on all communications strategies
- Help create communication frameworks that optimize all FTC content and communications from product launches to editorial storytelling across channels with a focus on digital first
- Craft all communication materials from pitches to strategies and talking points
- Oversee press material creation
- Maintain strong media relationships and secure coverage across applicable business, consumer, and trade verticals, with the ability to heavily focus on feature stories and thought leadership profiles
- Display an expert ability in tactical execution to deliver tangible results; support tactical news creation and problem solving
- Following launch, help drive creative strategy and creative briefing for communication plans (likely on a quarterly basis); partner with creative teams on concept development, storytelling, and development of communication plans
- Adhere to deadlines and deliver work on time
- Participate in company pitch and partnership meetings if/as needed
Experience Needed:
- 7+ years of experience in a planning/strategy role at agency and/or in brand communications at a lifestyle brand
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills
- Enjoy connecting the dots and partnering cross functionally. You master brand strategy, creative development and multi-channel execution and have executed these at scale to drive business results and brand equity
- Lead client relationships at an agency or interfacing with – and managing up to – senior executives in-house
- Experience in crisis management
- Culturally aware and curious; you’re always thinking about what we can do better
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Extremely organized and can juggle multiple initiatives
$138,000 – $175,000 a year
The salary range for this position is $138,000 – $175,000 which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
