Full-time position starting at $24.60 – $27.36/hr (D.O.E) with COMPETITIVE BENEFITS INCLUDE:

Rapid Rehousing Program is a short-term housing intervention that helps clients to quickly move into the private rental market. We work with clients to stabilize in housing and take over the rent independently.
We have several openings for Case Managers – across a range of programs to best match your passions, skills and level of experience to help folks facing housing instability in King County.
Responsibilities
ASSESS CLIENT NEEDS:
- Initial intake – determine eligibility and collect documentation.
- Identify program participant’s barriers to obtaining emergency shelter or permanent housing and connect them to appropriate resources needed.
- Demonstrate cultural competence, compassion, active listening skills in an environment that welcomes diversity and honors each person’s unique experience.
PROVIDE INDIVIDUALIZED CASE MANAGEMENT:
- Assess clients for housing needs and develop housing stability plans to address barriers/goals.
- Life skills training regarding housing location, budgeting, tenant responsibilities, and other housing related skills.
- Maintain case files and database entry in accordance with agency standards and HMIS.
- Provide housing location services as needed and advocate on behalf of client with landlords, debtors, and other parties.
COLLABORATE WITH TEAM:
- Work collaboratively with other staff to identify resources and services that can be used to better serve clients.
- Employ crisis management skills where necessary to assist clients in difficult situations.
- Community activities and advocacy.
Qualifications
- Quickly build rapport with both clients and co-workers.
- Understand the issues people experiencing homelessness face and approach those issues with empathy.
- Strong computer skills and ability to maintain client records in electronic record system.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Case management experience.
- Real Estate or Property Management experience.
