Esri is looking for an experienced Product Designer who is passionate about user-centered design, interaction design and transforming user insights into impactful usable GIS solutions. In this role you’ll work closely with product owners, product engineers, developers, and other designers to create a modern enterprise experience enabling organizations to manage building data. ArcGIS AllSource is a desktop application for intelligence analysis that is designed to visualize, explore, and analyze disparate data to produce actionable intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Lead design projects from brainstorming, sketching, and prototyping through to implementation
- Produce high-fidelity visuals that are consistent across apps and conform to platform conventions
- Collaborate closely with product owner, product engineers and developers to ensure a high-quality user experience and flawless implementation of the design specifications
- Conduct competitive analysis of existing products in the marketplace to identify opportunities for improvement
- Influence the shape of the product with research and data, and able to plan, facilitate, document, and present user usability studies
- Facilitate design exercises that encourage participatory and iterative design techniques
- Advocate for user-centered design, stay informed, and share the latest trends and best practices in product design with the broader team
- Collaborating with marketing teams to develop brand guidelines for brand logos and colors to ensure that designs are consistent with company standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing applications
- Proven knowledge of user-centered design principles and platform interface guidelines
- Proficient skills with design software Figma
- Experience creating diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface design
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to solve problems in collaboration with a team of designers, engineers, and QA as well as with business stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in human factors, interaction design, psychology, graphic design, industrial design or a related field
Recommended Qualifications
- Enterprise application design experience
- Experience designing mapping applications
- Experience with accessibility and internationalization
- Familiarity with GIS and the ArcGIS platform
- Understanding of Microsoft’s Win32 and UWP Design Guidelines
- Familiarity with front end development technologies, CSS, HTML, Javascript, and more
- Familiarity with Windows development technology, such as XAML, WPF

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $93,600.00 – $160,160.00.
