Palo Alto Networks is building a world-class product management organization and continues to look for world-class product managers to expand the team. As a Senior Product Manager for Advanced Threat Prevention, at Palo Alto Networks, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy, roadmap, and execution with measurable outcomes that push the envelope of innovation. You will be responsible for understanding threat landscape, market trends, and gathering customer requirements at both a market and technical level that would drive the product roadmap. This role will require collaboration with other product and cross-functional teams that include engineering, product marketing, sales teams to deliver differentiated threat prevention solutions to solve customer problems with speed and agility.
Your Impact
- Conceptualize and define differentiated features for Next-Gen IPS through a deep understanding of evolving Threat Landscape, Customer pain-points and the use of ML/AI network inspection technologies
- Develop customer experience expertise by constantly engaging with a variety of customer personas, understand deployment trends and operational patterns, understand pain points in existing solutions, and see product features through customer eyes
- Build out business case, PRDs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and release features
- Ability to think big picture and sweat on the details
- Act as a key interface between our field and engineering – Help the field and customers understand our value, competitive differentiation, and best practices for implementing our product
- Communicate product value to both customers and the business in a compelling manner using slides and documents
- Engage customers and develop relationship via executive briefings, product evangelism, and requirements gathering
- Be a great team player- an excellent communicator, strong collaborator, someone who solicits feedback from others, is welcoming of better ideas
Qualifications
Your Experience
- BS/MS in Computer Science, other engineering/technical degree or equivalent military experience required
- 5+ years of experience in a technical product management role preferably with cloud and AI-based security solutions covering threat analysis, incident response, forensics, intrusion prevention, antivirus, or related technologies
- Proven track record in building innovative features from inception to launch
- Experience using ML/AI and Generative-AI to build technical solutions
- Experience with UX / UI and workflow development
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, using data for decision making
- Self-motivated, intellectually curious with excellent people and team collaboration skills
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $163,200/yr to $264,000/yr.
