About the role
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Cloud Business Delivery team to drive automated platform solutions for Splunk Cloud’s end to end service delivery flow. This individual has seasoned experience driving technical platform solutions against impactful business outcomes with a strategic and analytical lens. They have a passion for solving exciting technical problems and delivering cloud products with an intuitive user experience.

In this role, you will merge technical understanding with system design knowledge to build out our integrated delivery platform by partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams throughout the system development lifecycle. You will incorporate customer inputs directly into the development process to enable speed to market while ensuring an excellent customer experience.
The ability to lead matrix teams through influence, communicate across technical and business minded teams, and find simple solutions to complex problems will accelerate your success in streamlining product delivery across our cloud product portfolio.
Responsibilities
As with any fast-growing company, day-to-day responsibilities will span the entire product management lifecycle and include deep interaction with customers, sales, product, and engineering. As a Senior Product Manager, you will:
- Build out automated and self-service solutions for delivering our Cloud service offerings
- Own and lead implementation of automated solutions through roadmap planning, requirement gathering, and technical system design documentation
- Listen to and absorb our internal and external customer experiences and challenges to convert them into business and technical requirements and continue to iterate on delivered solutions
- Define product specs, user stories, mockups and acceptance criteria in collaboration with engineering
- Be the subject matter expert on our delivery processes completed our platform and guide cross-functional teams throughout planning and development
- Use metrics to monitor and forecast efficacy of delivered solution and use them to optimize roadmaps against data-driven decisions for future iterations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement changes that mature Cloud’s service delivery and benefit the entire business
- Operationalize automated solutions and ensure monitoring, troubleshooting, and critical issue paths are in place
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a technical product role requiring extensive knowledge of delivering Saas solutions and their underlying cloud infrastructure and delivery platform
- Experience with IaaS and integrated system level design
- Interest in cloud computing principles across public cloud providers
- Strong analytical abilities with a data-informed approach to product decision-making
- Strong sense of customer emotional intelligence to care deeply about customer problems and user experience
- Collaborative teammate, with strong communication skills, including the ability to translate sophisticated technical products and features into simple concepts and presentations
- Proven experience leading multiple workstreams, managing Kanban boards in JIRA, and delivering against system level design requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field (e.g. EE, CS); MBA or similar degree highly preferred

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $147,200.00 – 202,400.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $132,000.00 – 181,500.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $124,000.00 – 170,500.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
