Job Description
Your Career
We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to join Cortex Xpanse, the leading solution in Attack Surface Management.
Our mission is to find risks online and protect the world’s largest and most complex organizations from malicious software and hackers. Xpanse’s Attack Surface Management platform collects petabytes of Internet data, leverages artificial intelligence to discover unknown unknown risks for customers, delivers those insights via a SaaS web application, and supports customers in reducing their internet exposures as expeditiously as possible.
In this role, you will own the roadmap and strategy for one of the core Xpanse feature teams. You will serve as both the internal and external evangelist for your area and the product at large, and will work cross-functionally with other groups to drive impacts for the company (e.g. pre-sales, customer success, marketing, etc.) This team in particular is focused on how more intrusive assessment techniques can offer granular visibility into critical and emerging risks to help our customers prioritize their actions and protect themselves.
This role can be based in any of our US engineering hubs. You should be comfortable collaborating remotely with distributed teams.
We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.
Your Impact
- Define product requirements and manage requirements backlog
- Partner with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure we’re building the right products in the right way
- Enable sales and marketing with market insights and product training
- Run design partner programs to validate new product ideas with customers
- Collaborate with customer success and field organization to delight customers
- Collaborate with other Palo Alto Networks product teams and engineering teams to bring innovative attack surface management solutions to market with unique customer value proposition
Qualifications
Your Experience
- 5+ years of product management or relevant experience, ideally on SaaS security products
- BS/MS/MBA or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience required
- Domain experience in cybersecurity, ideally in vulnerability management, penetration testing, threat intelligence, or attack surface management.
- Experience in managing products that deal with big data and have great UX design
- Feel comfortable representing the user and have a strong sense of what makes for “good UX”, and how to balance that with data-backed decision making.
- Ability to (nicely) persuade and influence others; ability to collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams who may not report into you to get things done
- Comfort with ambiguity and making decisions with imperfect information
Additional Information
The Team
To stay ahead of the curve, it’s critical to know where the curve is, and how to anticipate the changes we’re facing. For the fastest-growing cybersecurity company, the curve is the evolution of cyberattacks and the products and services that proactively address them. Our Product Management Team helps us do just that.
Our organization and employees are committed to changing as rapidly as our industry’s threats do, and to do that, we need creative product teams to address emerging cyber threats. They provide behind-the-scenes support for our products by being a source of information on our products for our systems engineers, staying on top of the environment we sell in, and helping to implement product-wide technical solutions based on our client’s feedback and needs. As threats and technology evolve, we stay ahead to accomplish our mission.
Our Commitment
We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo. It’s simple: we can’t accomplish our mission without diverse teams innovating, together.
We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for all qualified individuals with a disability. If you require assistance or accommodation due to a disability or special need, please contact us at accommodations@paloaltonetworks.com.
