The Role
As the Senior Product Manager owning Lab and Genomics Data products for Compass Patient, you will design and build a major new data pipeline offering from the ground up.
The Lab Data Pipeline enables our customers to use lab ordering and results data, including genomics, inside of our Compass Patient medical and pharmacy claims data product. The system will allow for data ingest of these standard sources, including mapping, deduping logic, enrichments, reference mappings, and delivery in a standardized format.
You`ll be the owner of this new data offering. You`ll work with customers to understand their data requirements from these new sources, be the subject matter expert for how Lab and Genomics data are used in the industry, and present the roadmap and receive product feedback directly from our customers.
You are excited about big data and building data pipelines that deliver quality data. You are someone who can design data features in a scalable and productizable way, enabling quick and easy onboarding of customer data sources. You are comfortable working with a cross-functional team, ranging from the Development team (front-end, back-end, big data, DevOps), to peers on the Product Management team in platform and Data Science & Analytics roles, as well as with the inbound Data Management team.

What You`ll Do
- Own the design and launch of Lab and Genomics data types for Compass Patient
- Work closely with internal and external customers to help define requirements, share roadmap, and solicit feedback
- Design data-focused product components and features from start to finish, including specifications, user stories, quality control checks, and data dictionaries
- Design the data quality and delivery monitoring system to flag potential issues early
- Own the roadmap for Lab and Genomics data
- Manage the prioritization and focus on data pipeline enhancements
- Author high-quality design specifications within an agile methodology
- Support release and sprint planning to ensure product enhancements support customers at the right time and in the right sequence
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Engineering, UX, QA, and Product Management to ensure products are built and delivered with quality
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on Product Management or other related experience focused on data pipelines and platforms
- Must have experience with Lab and/or Genomics data
- Experience as the owner of a product or major product component, including roadmap, feature planning, as well as the design and build of product features
- Experience working on data pipelines, such as designing ETL/ELT processes, schemas, QC checks, and data monitoring
- Experience designing transformations, mappings, and working with reference tables
- Comfortable with SQL
- Experience communicating with customers, including product roadmap, feedback discussions, and presenting complex concepts in easy-to-understand terms
- Experience investigating data issues and working with Analysts and Data Scientists as needed for complex analysis
- Energized by working through complex problems and a focus on bringing innovation, scalability, and productization to data
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related technical field
Nice to Have
- Experience with prescription and medical claims data
- Experience working on data mesh systems and the AWS platform
- Experience in enterprise products
- Former Software or Data Engineer transitioned to Product Management
Base pay: $120,000.00 – $200,000.00
The salary range listed represents the potential base salary range for this position. The actual salary will vary for each candidate based on experience, market, and expected contributions.
