What you’ll do
As a Senior Product Manager within our Global Enterprise Mobility segment at Viasat, you will be responsible for leading and shaping the direction for a portfolio of B2B2C management tools, making that product suite an ongoing success for Viasat and its customers. In this role, you will lay down the charter for greater adoption of the current product while identifying new ways to expand its value in the market with the right extensions to find the right market fit to drive growth. You will be interfacing with all stakeholders, working with internal teams to define the product roadmap, create GTM strategies, evaluate build vs. buy strategies, and manage the lifecycle of these products working with UX, engineering, sales, and marketing to create sustainable value in the marketplace.
The day-to-day
Successful candidates will have a proven track record of being able to execute efficiently. An innate ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing needs is also essential. The roles and responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Build and manage a B2B2C product roadmap that lays out your overall strategy, striking a balance between client requests, market demands, and your own creative ideas
- Own the product vision for the Partner Services product portfolio (customer/partner management tools), and evangelize it throughout the organization
- Bring the “voice of the customer” to the product by working closely with sales, marketing, customer success, analytics, and users and prioritize feasibility, viability, and desirability of requirements
- Bring together the product team of all essential functions (e.g., research, design, engineering, marketing) and facilitate development of a shared product vision and group work for product success
- Define interfaces with various internal or partner solutions where applicable
- Interact with partners, customers, and prospects to define market requirements, and translate these requirements into market requirements (MRDs) that the engineering team can deliver to, on time, and within budget
- Collaborate with various business segments on new product initiatives and feature releases
- Be data-driven and focus on customer insights to develop product features and own product lifecycle through maturity.
- Act as the single POC for product needs, roadmap, prioritization, and communication of product plan across customer and stakeholder community
- You will engage with the relevant solution partners and ecosystem players – both technically and commercially
- Use metrics to drive a deep understanding of our product market fit and its uses: evangelize, educate, and engage stakeholders
- Facilitate build vs buy analysis for technology selection for the product development activities
- Drive success of the final product and improvement iterations on an ongoing basis with the team and other stakeholders
- Present periodically to senior executives at the corporation on the continuous evolution of product portfolio
What you’ll need
- 5+ years managing a product portfolio or experience like the above essential functions
- Demonstrated experience working with global teams, strong collaboration, and communications skills
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong work ethics
- Highly motivated self-starter with experience working with Scaled Agile Framework development teams
- Demonstrated experience influencing and leading cross functional teams to drive and deliver business cases to introduce and launch product capabilities
- Fast learner and comfortable with technical details. You have credibility with the engineering community about technical tradeoffs, scalability, and performance
- Demonstrated experience understanding of customer focused design thinking process
- Are productive. You know how to identify the most important issues, prioritize your time, and deliver results consistently
- Passionate about solving problems for customers and can define compelling products that address those needs
- Bachelor’s degree, CS degree or equivalent experience is preferred (MBA / master’s degree a plus)
- Able to travel up to 20%

Salary range
$171,200.00 – $275,500.00 / annually

Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
