Senior Product Manager, Print-on-Demand

Independent authors and enterprise publishers are now able to publish and sell directly to readers through Kindle and print-on-demand (POD) offerings, enabling them to reach audiences never before available. Our aim is to make any book, in any language, available in sixty seconds. Leveraging Amazon’s fulfillment services and worldwide print facilities, POD allows books to be always in-stock. Come be a part of changing the way the world reads by leading technology for POD. We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Product Manager for our Print-on-Demand program. A team-player based in our Seattle office who will help to grow the selection content from enterprise publishers in our POD program.

Key job responsibilities

Drive the development and implementation of a strategy for growing selection on the US POD program in close partnership with US Books Vendor Management and Operations, co-owning POD content acquisition goals

Support the acquisition of high-value print content from US publishers into the POD program to ensure always best availability and broad selection for customers; selectively join discussions with publishers to evangelize POD

Work closely with US Books Operations to prioritize selection for POD content acquisition based on highest opportunities to improve CX while reducing cost.

Work closely with Technical Account Management and Product Management to ensure that client publishers benefit from a great experience, including clear SOPs for stakeholders to meet SLA for issues/escalations.

Partner with WW POD team members to continually refine content acquisition best practices and publisher-facing processes.

Own monthly POD selection acquisition mechanisms for US Books

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– Experience with end to end product delivery

– Experience as a product manager or owner

– Experience owning technology products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

– Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
