Your Career
The Software Firewalls portfolio includes VM-Series, CN-Series, and Cloud NGFW. All three form factors are available in most public clouds as Self-Serve marketplace offerings and sales-led BYOL offerings. Self-serve business is now a significant portion of the total business and requires PLG growth strategies that are new to most of the departments within the company.
We are seeking a Product Lead to drive Product-Led Growth (PLG) for all form factors of the Software Firewalls in a consistent and reusable manner. You will be responsible for developing product-led growth strategies and collaborating with the cross-functional teams (engineering, product, UX, marketing, sales, sales ops, NPI, IT, finance, revenue, business and product analytics, etc.) at Palo Alto Networks and Marketplace product, engineering, and BI teams at the cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) to execute these strategies.

We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.
Your Impact
- Develop a deep understanding of our customers, their needs, pain points, and behaviors for various form factors of Software Firewalls
- Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to improve customer acquisition, retention, and expansion for self-serve motions in the CSP Marketplaces
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive onboarding, forecasting, support, business/product analytics, and sales compensation for the self-serve sales motion
- Develop and execute strategies for transitioning self-serve customers into sales-led opportunities
- Define and analyze product metrics to track progress towards growth goals
- Conduct user research and customer interviews to inform product development and marketing strategies
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop go-to-market plans for new products and features
- Work closely with the engineering team to prioritize product features and enhancements that drive growth
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product-led growth
Qualifications
Your Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent military experience required
- 5+ years of experience in product management or related field
- Proven track record of driving growth for software products using product-led growth strategies
- Experience with SaaS or cloud-based products is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to make decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $170,000/yr to $275,000/yr.
