Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Finance and product planning experience in a technology or consumer electronics company.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aptitude and passion for strategy formulation and program execution
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; great attention to detail
- Understanding of current hardware technologies and a perspective on futuretechnologies
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated executive presence and the ability to successfully worked across different functional teams
- MBA or equivalent work experience preferred
- Ability to set up and lead scenario planning and advise team on results
Product Management IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will manage our portfolio of Development Cost and Operating Expenses (OPEX) spend, lead our near- and long-term Surface investments and be a critical partner in making product roadmap decisions. You will bring a variety of perspectives to our portfolio and investment plans and help us find solutions to problems others have not yet seen. This will require thought leadership and frequent collaboration with partners across functional disciplines in both engineering and finance. You will join a passionate team, tackle complex cross-group challenges with clearly identified outcomes and plans. You will also be asked to improve our structure and processes as part of that work.
The individual in this position will deliver:
- Product investment plans, aligned with product portfolio plans
- A set of processes across the Surface Team to manage and forecast spend (e.g., Statement of Work (SOWs), contracts, negotiations, Purchase Order (Pos), etc…)
- Regular updates and conversations with the Windows + Devices Leadership Team on status, trends, and recommendations as part of our Rhythm of Business (ROB)
- Partnerships and strong relationships with the individual Product Managers, Program Leaders and their teams to understand their plans across an integrated roadmap, working through these plans along with managing risks mitigations and changes
