We are seeking a skilled product leader to join our Amazon Music Subscriptions team to lead the Payments charter. Our team (Maple) ensures that Amazon Music Unlimited customers have a seamless subscription management experience. Our Payments’ team mission is to make it easy and secure for Amazon Music customers to successfully pay for our premium service using their preferred payment method. In this role, you will be responsible for experimenting with new ideas to reduce payments-related customer churn. You will be tackling issues related to payment method declines, multi-factor authentication in EU (EU-MFA) and payment method fraud/abuse. This is a customer-facing role with an opportunity to impact the subscription behavior of millions of customers.
You will be working closely with UX Design, software engineers, Finance, Marketing, and BI to drive the program with the right balance of external vs. internal customer obsession in mind. As a Sr. Product Manager – Tech of Amazon Music Payments team, you will own large product and tech launches. As a member of the team’s leadership you will lead and contribute to org planning and periodic review narratives.
This role is based in Sunnyvale. However, we are open to candidates in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York.

Key job responsibilities
Write and deliver business requirement documents and artifacts required to enable the team’s development of products, features and infrastructure
Maintain and continuously prioritize backlog and roadmap based on data and customers’ needs
Write narratives to advocate for and justify product launches / changes
Plan and define the long term vision of your product areas of ownership
Build and improve a working relationship with your partners and stakeholders
Contribute to and develop the team’s processes/mechanisms
Regularly participate in stand-ups, design reviews and other meetings with engineers, and contribute to the discussion to ensure a high quality bar
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ yrs of experience with end to end product delivery. This is a technical product manager role, the candidate is expected to demonstrate good technical and business acumen

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
