Senior Product Manager – Tech, ITS Product and Development

We are looking for a passionate and creative thought leader with a strong background in product/program innovation to research and define product strategies, roadmaps, and deliver results. We need individuals that can manage complex portfolios and drive success. In this role, you will be at the forefront of customer interactions across the full breadth of Amazon businesses, surrounded by smart people who are passionate to set the World Class Customer Experience Standard.

The key job functions of the role:

– Create strategies for IT products leveraging Data Science and Machine Learning

– Manage cradle-to-grave lifecycles, from customer research, through strategic planning and roadmaps, to launch, product adoption and customer feedback

– Partner with UX designers and software developers to deliver products based on roadmaps you create

– Launch the vision, strategy, and roadmap and work with key stakeholders to deliver on that vision, e.g. partner teams, international site leaders, strategic program owners, and the IT leadership team

– Implement the go-to-market plan and execution, working to ensure that internal teams have what they need to be successful

– Define goals and monitor key performance metrics to identify opportunities and improve product performance

– Identify and research opportunities to innovate on behalf of Amazonians

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

– Experience managing technical products or online services

– Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

– • 5+ yrs. engineering, product management, or relevant experience.

– • Strong track record of establishing and owning product/program strategies and roadmaps

– • Demonstrable experience making data-driven product/program decisions

– • Experience working cross-functionally with development, design, and marketing teams

– • Excellent speaking-listening-writing skills with attention to detail

– • Entrepreneurial, energetic self-starter who can navigate through amorphous environments and work independently when required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

– MBA

– • Experience in Customer Service, Operations, and/or Business Process Optimization experience

– • Experience with inventory/asset management systems, database services technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
