Senior Product Manager – Technical, Amazon Advertising Impact Team

Amazon’s Advertising Impact Team is looking for a Senior Product Manager – Technical (PM-T) to drive the product roadmap and user adoption of our production econometric and machine learning applications. The individual will have the opportunity to shape the product vision and scale business impacts via cross-team collaboration in a highly ambiguous, science-savvy and fast-moving environment. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team-oriented, and will have the ability to work independently under time constraints.

The mission of the Advertising Impact Team is to make our advertising products the most customer-centric in the world. We specialize in measuring and modeling the short- and long-term customer behavior in relation to advertising, using state of the art econometrics and machine learning techniques. With a broad mandate to experiment and innovate, we are constantly advancing our experimentation methodology and infrastructure to accelerate learning and scale impacts. Key job responsibilities
• Shape the product vision and roadmap of the econometric and machine learning applications that improve advertising experience for our customers
• Identify and expand use case adoption to scale the impact of the science solutions that optimize the advertising strategies on behalf of our customers
• Define product features, business and technology strategies, drive cross-team alignment and influence the engineering priorities and roadmap
• Establish and simplifies processes to ensure product delivery continuously meets customer needs
• Write effective business narratives and function as a significant contributor to the team’s business reviews and strategic roadmap reviewed by the most senior leaders in the company

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of end to end product delivery experience

– 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

– Bachelor’s degree

– Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

– Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

– Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering

– Experience with technologies like Hadoop, Rules based systems and Machine learning

– Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
