Senior Product Manager, Technical, Speed Products, Science and Analytics

Amazon is seeking a candidate to identify opportunities to develop innovative products and that will redefine the standards for customer experience in our North American transportation network. Amazon transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver shipments from our fulfillment centers and third party locations to customers worldwide.

As a Senior Technical Product Manager for the US Speed team, you will work with business, science and analytics teams across the company to build state of the art data products to improve delivery speed for our customers. Because we strive for faster delivery to customers a successful candidate must be passionate about identifying and building solutions that will help drive a more efficient network and lower cost of operations. In this role, together with the technical team, you will develop scalable solutions to improve existing network structure, create evaluation methods to track the performance and identify areas of improvements.

Key job responsibilities
• Define and execute product roadmap for US Speed
• Oversee development of data solutions, drive consensus within the organization and effectively communicate recommendations to senior management
• Drive requirements definition, CX design, compliance, feature development priority, and product messaging
• Respond to high priority requests from senior business leaders
• Evaluate technical alternatives and decompose significantly complex problems into straightforward technical propositions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
