Senior Product Manager – Viva Goals

The Role: Senior Product Manager-Viva Goals

As a Senior Product Manager on the Viva Goals product team, you will own User Notifications & Engagement. This role will allow you to both drive rich new feature investments for Viva Goals (both in product and via Outlook) and leverage your analytical side to use data – drive n insights and experimentation to drive step-change growth in usage for the Viva Goals product. This role is based in the US to support cross-team collaboration during working hours with a team based in Redmond, but we are open to a partial Work from home or fully remote candidate .

Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

o OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years experience delivering products in highly matrixed organization
  • 1+ years experience working with any of the following: feeds, notifications, CTR (click-through-rate) optimization, or content algorithms

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 7+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

o OR equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated collaboration and partnership abilities, with a proven track record of driving results across teams
  • Experience driving feed & notifications related product management (example: algorithms, A/B testing, CTR optimization)
  • Demonstrated experience developing product roadmaps to deliver customer and business value across products and services
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully designing, delivering, and iterating on complex projects with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated Experience with customer-centric and data-driven insights creation, strategy definition, and experimentation

Product Management IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • You will drive business impact across the organization on our user notification & engagement strategy, both in the Viva Goals product (via notifications and Feed) and via Outlook (through system-generated emails) , and track success criteria for multiple feature areas.
  • You’ll own the strategy & roadmap for system generated user notifications & engagement across endpoints and will take accountability for gathering customer and partner team input on the backlog and prioritization of work to drive growth.
  • You willcollaborate across the Viva Goals product management team as well as withuser research, design, engineering, marketing,customer experience, customer success, and more to deliverbest-in-class user notification & engagement experiences.
  • You’ll also identify both short-term (example: experimentation) and mid/ long-term (Example: feature investment ) opportunities related to driving user engagement via notifications & emails and either deliver those yourself with your feature crew or engage and influence peer feature crews to garner support for those feature areas.
  • You will partner with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses in order to improve product development in targeted areas.
  • You will partner with and learn from other product teams inside Microsoft on their user notification and engagement strategies to gather new ideas and concepts and ultimately influence the Viva Goals roadmap with these learnings.
  • You’ll also identify features to deprecate , notifications to cease sending, and proactively monitor for customer experience & noise (example: over-notification and customer dissatisfaction).
