Senior Program Manager – Converged Infrastructure

Meet The Team

We are seeking a talented, motivated individual to work as part of a team in product program management. – from inception to EOL with focus on new product introductions. This individual will be leading product introduction teams for strategic SW/HW products working cross functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Services, Support, Supply Chain, Security, Finance, and IT. Key focus is on-time delivery, managing and reporting risks, coordinating mitigation plans, and managing escalations.

What You Will Be Doing
• Define and execute product release programs for Infrastructure, Converged and Content products, working with Product Manager, Engineering, and cross functional business stakeholders.
• Manage alpha and beta programs for any new product or major product enhancement.
• Lead and assemble cross-functional team to ensure projects stay on plan.
• Monitor and project progress and timelines, including status updates to leadership team and stakeholders.
• Identify and help resolve cross-functional issues that might arise.
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve the launch process (Kaizen)
• Establish and lead recurring cross-functional project team meetings (Marketing, Operations, Procurement etc.) related to new product introduction.
• Develop and own the end-to-end cross-functional project plan, schedule.
• Manage and lead cross-functional team (PM, engineering, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Support, Services, etc.) in the preparation, tracking of GTM deliverables and milestones. Proactively identifying risks to meeting target launch dates, and developing/driving mitigation plans and escalating to senior leadership as needed
• In close collaboration with Product Marketing, Marketing, Finance, Competitive Intelligence, facilitate and coordinate teams in development and preparation for product gate reviews and pricing governance reviews.
• Manage the testing of quote to cash process prior to release; coordinate activities required by supply chain and other functional areas to ensure appropriate manufacturing build and sign-off, ensure legal and homologation certification is in place.
• Facilitate and coordinate separate sub-meetings (tiger teams) to address any critical items that are needed for successful product release.
• Provide updates and reporting to GTM teams and executives

What You Bring To The Team (Qualifications)
• 3 -5 years of experience in managing complex high technology product introduction releases preferably in the storage converged product space
• Project leadership skills, with direct responsibility for managing project teams and schedules including cross-functional project teams
• Experience managing Alpha and Beta programs is preferred
• Experience in both software and hardware on-boarding readiness
• History of delivering high quality results on schedule
• Four-year college degree in business, marketing, or related field
• PMP desired but not required.
• Motivated and results oriented, strong leader
• Strong communicator, proven ability to influence and drive change
• Process focused on the ability to manage within established frameworks, while demonstrating flexibility and creativity in looking for ways in which to improve TTM, quality and outcome

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $135,000 to $150,000 annually.

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara’s bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
