The Office 365 team is building the infrastructure and processes to ensure that we can demonstrate the trust and transparency that our customers, regulators and auditors demand. This includes building a scalable, accurate and complete system of asset inventory, engineering requirements and system health. These systems and processes will touch every team and will be used not only to keep the cloud running securely, but to demonstrate this through evidence. We are replacing traditional IT processes and systems with their hyper-scale equivalents, as well as architecting our security and compliance processes so that they are consumable by our customers.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager with proven compliance, security, communication, and project management skills in a fast paced and agile environment. We are looking for someone who has the technical depth required to communicate with Subject Matter Experts from Compliance, Security, Engineering, Operations, Support, and other disciplines.

Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Candidates must have an active TS and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph) or have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under U.S. export control regulations, potentially under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency or other protected status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.

Preferred/Additonal Qualifications:
- Direct experience with security, compliance and regulatory frameworks- including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SSAE/SOC 1 and 2, FedRAMP, Privacy, NIST certification and accreditation processes
- Experience with IT operations techniques and diverse IT architectures; specific knowledge of hyper-scale cloud products is a plus
- CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 or other compliance related certifications are a plus
- Ability to collaborate with partners, deliver cross-group projects, and drive change
- Demostrated technical problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to interview engineers on technical subject matter as well as briefing executive level stakeholders
Product Management IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.

Responsibilities:
- Drive communication and project management across Air Gap Gloud (AGC) environments. Assist in AGC audit activities where required to ensure successful preparation, execution and close out of audits and across AGC.
- Represent Microsoft’s controls over regulatory requirements to external vendors, assessors, external customers and regulatory bodies.
- Select, manage, and lead discussions with external regulators to ensure that Compliance obligations are achievable in a fast-paced cloud computing environment
- Help identify and evolve an audit strategy to ensure the Compliance Program keeps pace with O365’s rapid growth while reducing the impact on operational teams
- Facilitate cross company collaboration in Regulatory Compliance by establishing partnerships with other Microsoft Security teams with the overarching goal of improving trust of Microsoft and its products
- Provide subject matter expertise to internal engineering groups and product teams with understanding of various Compliance obligations, and working with them to develop roadmaps to achieve these Compliance requirements
- Influence and provide input into the development of industry security Compliance standards as a Microsoft representative and subject matter expert when possible
