Senior Program Manager, Denied Party Screening

As a Senior Program Manager in the Denied Party Screening (DPS) team, you’ll be responsible for owning several end to end projects to mitigate sanctions risk and onboard clients onto the DPS screening system.

Key job responsibilities

Amazon is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join a centralized Denied Party Screening (DPS) team focused on denied party and sanctions screening systems and processes. This team enables Amazon to comply with regulations as well as understand and manage sanctions risk.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will lead several projects with significant scope and cross-functional impact, supporting a number of different areas of the business. In this role, you will work to deliver value to the customer, manage sanctions risk, and track and drive the timeline of the project. The program is cross functional and requires communication skills to coordinate onsite and remote work with teams across the globe. In this capacity, you will gain valuable exposure to many areas within our global business.

You will coordinate with DPS management, Amazon Legal, and multiple other teams in the development of project management standards and other efforts that enable operations and manage risk. You will be responsible for managing multiple end to end projects simultaneously to onboard customers onto Amazon’s denied party screening systems.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will own anticipated bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance customer and business needs versus resource constraints. We value personality, insight, intellectual flexibility, and sound business judgment. We also value your passion to discover, invent, simplify and build.

A day in the life

In this role, you will:
• Own and develop a series of projects from beginning to end, including project scope, communication, timeline, capacity planning, resource allocation, and project execution.
• Proactively manage change control and communicate impacts to project scope, identify issues, and devising contingency plans.
• Identify and manage project dependencies, risk based prioritization and critical paths and flag any blockers to senior leadership.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using project management tools.
• Work independently and remain flexible, with the ability to prioritize workloads and maintain resilient attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
