Senior Program Manager, Red Team

Amazon’s Offensive Security, Red Team is seeking a Program Manager (PM) to help keep Amazon’s infrastructure secure for its customers. This team is responsible for attacking Amazon’s services, infrastructure, processes, and controls, and partnering with defensive & service teams to remediate weaknesses and sharpen our detective, preventative, and response capabilities. You will have technological and leader opportunities and have fun hacking Amazon. You will be in direct contact with teams in a variety of business verticals, giving you first hand knowledge about how Amazon is built and how it operates at a deep, technical level. Additionally, you will leverage the knowledge you gain about Amazon to find new ways to drive improvements to services, processes, and technologies throughout the company.

Key job responsibilities

In this role you’ll be using your program/project management and technical skills to orchestrate and enable engineers to execute on engagements in order to maintain and raise Amazon’s high security bar. You’ll be backed up by a team of skilled security engineers focused on attacking Amazon from a variety of perspectives, all working with a singular focus of maintaining our customer’s trust. You’ll be exposed to the reality of how Amazon functions on a technical and process level, work with a variety of teams across Amazon, and will build a comprehensive base of knowledge around how it all works together. In doing so, you’ll be playing a role in helping keep Amazon secure, bringing security findings to these teams, and contributing to raising the security bar across the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of Red Team operations
  • Drive internal program and process improvements
  • Collaborate with partner and service owners to help drive the resolution of discovered security findings
  • Communicate with SVPs, VPs, Directors, and Managers to prioritize and execute remediation plans
  • Coordinate across Amazon to understand and support initiatives that raise the security bar of the company

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience in Information Security, with knowledge of security fundamentals, common vulnerabilities, and Red Team processes, methodologies, and tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • Experience driving security programs across large diverse organizations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
