Role and Responsibility

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the online advertising industr y and Walmart-specific advertising sy stems , including API technical documentation within a developer portal .
  • Work with subject-matter experts to gather information, review technical specifications, and gain understanding of Walmart Connect products for building API reference materials .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, operations analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure technical accuracy and consistency across documentation.
  • Write clear, concise, and accurate documentation that meets industry standards and guidelines; Organize, structure, and format technical content for easy consumption by end-users.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Developers to understand and document product capabilities and new features .

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 – 3 years of experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Basic HTML and XML, Markdown (other formats a plus)
  • Experience with a version-control system such as Git Hub
  • Experi e nce with using tools including but not limited to Swagger / OpenAPI , GitHub, Jira.
  • Experience in authoring, publishing, and maintaining content using content management systems such as word press .
  • Knowledge of software development processes and methodologies .
  • basic HTML and XML, Markdown (other formats a plus) experience
  • Knowledge of the digital ecosystem and digital advertising a plus.
  • Familiarity with REST API Concepts, Open API Specification Concepts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications , Journalism, Business, or related field and 4+ years of experience in communications, journalism, business, or relevant area OR 2 + years of experience in technical writing, engineering, product, or a related technical field
  • Ability to quickly learn technical information .
  • Understanding of API basics .
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Independent Self-Starter: Takes prompt, proactive action to accomplish work goals with limited oversight .
  • Uses interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Finds ways to continuously improve work quality and effectiveness.

The annual salary range for this position is $120,000.00-$170,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives
