Pay Range: $68,034 – 84,363 annually
As NFM’s Senior Safety Analyst you will administer the safety and health program to ensure compliance with established policies and OSHA and EPA regulations. This position will be responsible for investigating and documenting property damage, product damage, staff and customer injuries and auto damage claims. As our Analyst you will have the flexibility to work in the Kansas City office or a combination of in the office and at home based on business needs.
Job Duties: A Day in the Life
- Track Develop and recommend OSHA-required training for appropriate job tasks
- Manage Oversee the Department of Transportation (DOT) program for all locations
- Assist Work with the manager on reviewing investigations of accidents and injuries, while suggesting preventative solutions
- Monitor Keep track of accident/injury reports and investigations and review statistical data to identify problem areas for management review
- Coordinate Conduct inspections and tours of all facilities to detect existing or potential accidents, fire and health hazards and make recommendations for resolution
- Maintain Learn federal, state and local safety and health legislation and provide guidance to ensure compliance
- Participate Assist the safety strategy committee and location safety committees
- InvestigateExamine claims and determine extent of NFM’s liability. Work with insurance companies and legal teams to assist with managing and settling claims

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?
- Bachelor’s degree or college coursework in occupational safety and health or related field or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in related industry
- 5 Years of safety experience
- 1-2 years high-level administrative experience
- Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations and applications to job tasks at NFM
- Ability to train, influence, and motivate team members
- Safety Certifications: ASP, CSP, SMS, SHEP preferred
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize work accordingly
- Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize, and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of the organizations policies and activities
- Ability to coordinate and lead multiple tasks and projects
- Work congruently and with the safety team
- Maintain a high level of interpersonal skills and manage and secure sensitive and/or confidential information
