Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Salesforce Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Department of State (DOS) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) Program, for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This initiative is intended to provide IT Operations and Maintenance to modernized Salesforce Applications and legacy networks, applications, and databases supporting CA services globally.
The ideal candidate will develop documentation for engineering from requirements and architectural designs, and diagrams. Recommend and implement system enhancements that improved the performance, security, and reliability of the system.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, evaluates, and modifies systems and systems-oriented products.
- Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers.
- Coordinates resolution of product/service issues, upgrades, and problems.
- Plans and directs upgrades and system enhancements.
- Investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions.
- Stays abreast of developments in hardware and software and analyzes customer problems.
- Researches, collects, and reports information on the ability and capacity of Company products and competitors.
- Prepares equipment analysis to instruct sales force and customers in equipment capabilities.
- Provides supervision of the customer installation of hardware and software.
- Provides technical guidance to management on changing trends and emerging products in the industry with the view to further improve existing technology and its application.

- Administration Essentials for New Admins (ADM 201).
- Administrative Essentials for New Admins in Lightning Experience and Certification (ADX 201C).
- Preparing for Your Salesforce Administrator Certification (CRT 101).
- Administrative Essentials for New Admins in Lightning Experience (ADX 201).
- Salesforce Trailhead Virtual Bootcamp for New Admins.
- Lightning Experience Administrative Essentials for New Admins Extended (ADX-201E).
- Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
- Provides recommendations for improvement across the enterprise as well as migration strategies from legacy to containerized and automated platforms.
- Conducts system calibrations after the hardware and software are installed.
- Develops and maintains manuals, drawings, system specifications, electronic and hardcopy files of customer installations, calibration records, maintenance records, and quality control information.
- Develops and implements testing strategies and documenting results.
- Develops documentation on new or existing systems.
- Supports promotional projects, such as trade shows, conferences, and technical articles.
- Supports automation management and security of container-based workloads via scripting & tools.
- Customizes Salesforce regularly configuring the platform, managing users, and looking for ways to get even more out of its features and capabilities.
- Participates in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Serves as liaison with clients, participate in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
- Multitask and prioritize to meet periodically changing deadlines.
- Creates, discuss, and explain technical documentation.
- Ensures data integrity by evaluating, proposing, implementing, and managing software and hardware solutions.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires US Citizenship and an active SECRET Government Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years experience or Masters degree and 6-8 years experience or high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years relevant experience.
- 4 years of related engineering experience – primarily in a government environment, dealing with business critical, high availability systems.
- 2+ years Salesforce experience in an enterprise environment.
- Experience of designing and implementing highly available solutions.
- Salesforce Administrator, or other relevant certifications to the position.
Perferred Qualifications:
- Security+ CE or other 8570 IAT level II certification.
- Salesforce Administrator with Salesforce Administrator credential.
Location: Remote, must be local to DC/VA area. Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends for periodic maintenance and troubleshooting.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 – $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
