Position Description
As a Senior SAP FICO Business Analyst, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
- Requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing and implementation of systems on various projects and software change requests within the SAP Finance & Controlling applications area
- Collaborate with business counterparts globally to ensure successful implementation of projects while achieving target service levels on various system change requests
- Ensure that proper Change Control and Project Management processes are followed
- Work with Finance and Accounting departments within the organization to understand their needs, document requirements, and collaborate on the design, configuration, development, testing, and implementation of various solutions
- Develop knowledge and skills in enterprise scale application design, development and implementation of SAP FICO modules as well as other related Finance and Accounting applications
- Participate in software validation activities to ensure that software solutions are designed to perform as intended
- Support enterprise systems and business processes in the area of Finance and Accounting, across multiple time zones and locations
- Develop design documents, functional specifications, test scripts, support data migration, assist in issue resolution, and project risk mitigation
- Work on latest relevant software technologies to provide computer software solutions and applications to the organization
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and next generation platforms and recommend solutions that drive innovation and business value
- Help identify opportunities for improvement in business processes and financial systems
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience implementing and configuring SAP FICO module on projects in a functional and technical capacity
- Experience with SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, Cash Management/Banking) and CO (CCA, PCA, Internal Orders, Product Costing and Project Systems)
- Experience with SAP BPC
- Integration experience with SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP GTS, and SAP PP
Preferred
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- Experience with vendor invoice management applications, such as Open Text VIM or equivalent
- Integration experience with SAP Concur
- SAP Certification in FICO Module
- Experience with One Source Tax by Thomason Reuters external tax system or equivalent
- Experience with software validation
- Experience with a Life Sciences company
- Experience with SAP S4 HANA 1909 or higher
- Experience working in a FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant environment
Benefits
The base compensation range for this role is $105000 – $160000 / year for the position in California. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in California based on the date of this job posting.
