Senior SAP FICO Product Manager, Project Kuiper SPACE SATELLITE

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager, with a deep understanding of SAP FICO module and financial accounting and controlling concepts and processes in a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and functional support for the development and management of software products, integrating SAP FICO functionality and ensuring alignment with business objectives related to financial management and accounting for manufacturing companies.

Key job responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of business and customer requirements related to financial management and accounting, and design solutions for SAP FICO module and data integration solutions to/from Amazon corporate financial systems.
  • Develop product vision and strategy, feature design, for SAP Finance and Controlling needs at Project Kuiper in-house manufacturing and outsourced manufacturing.
  • Define and prioritize FICO-related product features and requirements to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, including business users, technical teams, and management, to ensure alignment of the product with business objectives related to financial management and accounting.
  • Configure the SAP system to meet the business requirements in SAP FICO module and related financial accounting and controlling concepts and manufacturing processes, some of the key areas include: Cost Accounting, Inventory Management, Production Planning and Control, Quality Control, Cost of Goods Analysis and translate business requirements into functional specifications for the SAP FICO module and robust interface programs to/from Amazon corporate financial systems.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to ensure that FICO functionality is integrated into software products that meet business and customer needs for manufacturing companies.
  • Managing integration between SAP FICO and other SAP models specifically Production Planning (PP) and Materials Management (MM)
  • Active participation in Unit Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, training to ensure success and meet customer requirements.
  • Drives product discussion vision, goals, tenets, monthly business review with executive (tech/non-tech) with business users’ adoption and support user training.
  • Participate and build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to ensure proposed solution can meet business requirements using SAP S/4

A day in the life

As the Senior SAP FICO product manager with manufacturing background, you are responsible for managing the lifecycle of SAP FICO product suites and features in SAP universal journal (ACDOCA) and integration to/from Amazon corporate financial systems.

Deliver the right product solutions independently, with limited guidance. Drive product discussions. Are able to distill clear requirements from large and diverse sets of customers, partners, vendors, engineering team builders, and business entities.

Understand the systems and technologies behind SAP FICO product suites, its limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons for architectural decisions based on finance, accounting and costing customers and/or technical assumptions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in industry and/or academia.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, supply chain, consulting or operations role with proven experience in leading process and systems transformation initiatives
  • 6+ years of product management or systems development experience
  • Ideal candidate should be an expert in at least SAP FI configuration in any combination of the following: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Consolidation, Funds Management, Special Purpose Ledger, Material Ledger. CO configuration: Product costing, Profit Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, Activity Based Costing.
  • Export Control Requirements: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
  • Work with internal subject matter experts to gather information, synthesize business and technical concepts, build strategic business metrics, and write original content that drives decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of business processes, SAP FICO capabilities, and corporate financial system data integration in the following areas: asset accounting, inventory valuation, inter-company accounting, overhead cost accounting, profitability analysis, standard costing, and month-end and period-end closing.
  • Curious to learn in depth about both technology and our customers
  • A curious self-starter with a proven track record of diving into unknown territory, learning new concepts, and pushing your comfort zone.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
