Arcadis is seeking a Senior Scheduler to join our team in New York. This position has a flexible Hybrid schedule (three weeks remote/one week on-site)

Role description:

As a Senior Construction Scheduler, you will use your construction scheduling expertise to support the redevelopment of JFK Airport in New York.

Role accountabilities:

  • Prepare and Analyze Schedules: You will be responsible for developing and examining program and project-level schedules, along with allocating project resources and costs effectively.
  • Independent Schedule Generation: You should be capable of independently creating schedules based on a thorough assessment of the program/project scope. This involves estimating quantities, determining schedule durations, and defining logical sequences.
  • Project Management Support: You will assist the project staff in managing project risks, budget, and schedules. Your experience and insights will be instrumental in keeping the projects on track and within defined constraints.
  • Key Performance Metrics: Analyzing and reporting on essential project key performance metrics will be part of your role. This includes monitoring progress, identifying potential issues, and proposing suitable corrective actions.
  • Internal Control Safeguards: Ensuring consistent and accurate reporting of information is essential. You will need to adhere to appropriate internal control safeguards during the reporting process.
  • Schedule Analysis Reports: Regularly preparing monthly schedule analysis reports and any ad-hoc reports as required by the project stakeholders.
  • Time-Impact Analysis Reports: You may be involved in preparing and/or analyzing time-impact analysis reports, which are crucial for assessing schedule delays and determining their impact on the overall project.
  • Contractor Delay Claims Evaluation: Evaluating contractor delay claims will be part of your responsibilities. This involves investigating claims, analyzing evidence, and providing objective assessments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
  • You should possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in both program-level and project-level scheduling for large transportation infrastructure projects. These projects can encompass various components like commuter rail, bus, roadway, bridges, tunnels, stations, signal, power, and trackwork projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Primavera P6 (P6 construction scheduling experience) is necessary, with at least 15 years or more of hands-on experience using this software.
  • Familiarity with the transportation agencies in the Greater New York City/New Jersey region, such as PANYNJ, MTA, Amtrak, NJ Transit, PATH, etc., will be an advantage.

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $122,000 – $183,000.
