Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced, results-driven Search Engine Optimization Analyst to own SEO reporting, measurement, and analysis across the AWS website.
We are looking for a highly analytical person with enterprise level experience providing SEO insights across a matrixed organization. As an SEO Analyst for AWS Marketing, you will play a leading role in developing and managing our data and reporting tools, helping evolve our methodology, while identifying actionable insights for AWS marketers. You will have the opportunity to improve the search experience for our customers by creating a data-driven approach to measuring content quality, and partnering with SEO Managers and marketers to develop, implement, and measure SEO initiatives.
SEO is complex and relies on non-standard KPIs. A successful candidate will be an advocate for SEO best practices and well-versed in what it takes to measure SEO performance for a multi-thousand page, high-traffic, international marketing website. This role requires a proven track record in developing SEO reporting, a deep understanding of SEO metrics and commonly used third-party platforms, analytical skills to identify risks and opportunities, and interpersonal and project management skills to harness the passion and energy of teams across AWS to deliver content to our customers.
The role is preferred to be in Seattle, WA, but it can be anywhere in the US that has an AWS corporate office. Amazon will offer relocation to anywhere with a corporate office in the United States.
Key job responsibilities
* Working with SEO Managers and marketers to understand business goals, define KPIs, and provide insights and reporting on how AWS customers engage with our marketing websites.
* Proactively explaining the ‘why’ in addition to the ‘what’ while educating business stakeholders on insights.
* Analyzing, tracking and reporting on overall natural search performance, using data to report out progress on key initiatives with insights that will shape future SEO content strategy.
* Implementing and maintaining monitors and alerts for key SEO performance metrics.
* Creating reports and alerting mechanisms to ensure AWS website content adheres to SEO best practices.
* Educating marketers and content authors best practices for developing SEO KPIs and reporting.
* Maintaining a library of documentation and articles that educate the organization on best practices for measuring SEO performance.
* Performing keyword research and data analysis to make the case for projects and their prioritization.
* Tracking and analyzing key search metrics like non-brand traffic and combined search (paid and organic) performance.
* Raising the bar on SEO measurement strategy.
