Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Services Engagement Engineer at our Houston, TX location responsible for overall orchestration of delivery of services for Premium Engagement Contracts and foster the successful adoption of SAP solutions.

Expectations and Tasks:

Assist entire engagement lifecycle, including discovery, design and build, and operations. Provide holistic support and coordination across all SAP solutions in use by the customer. Understand the customer’s business goals and Business Analysis. Determine Engagement Setup, Strategy and Governance. Customer Stakeholder Management, including c-level interactions, with face-to-face interactions. Engagement Development, Management and planning of services to be delivered (establish an Engagement Roadmap with detailed KPIs). Define and coordinate services to be delivered via SAP-Organization (e.g. CoE-Team), including resource management and governance. Anticipate and identify risks and top issues, including mitigation planning. Escalation Management for critical situations. Document and report engagement status. Articulate current technology trends, including public and private cloud, on-premises and hybrid technologies and trends, disruptive technologies, industry of automation, machine learning, cloud bursting, visualization, PAAS, SAAS, IAAS, IoT, Industry 4.0, cyber security, big data, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital twin, and smart factories.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept pre-bachelor’s experience. The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Work Experience:

Experience must involve 4 years in the following:

  • Cloud Customer Account Management;
  • Establish, utilize, and improve customers’ use of governance models to drive value realization and adoption;
  • Identify improvement areas across SAP’s Enterprise Solutions, Platform Solutions, SaaS Solutions, Third-Party Technologies, or Partner Technologies;
  • Customer Lifecycle Management;
  • Revenue and profitability forecasting;
  • Implement SAP project management methodology, including value and quality management;
  • NetWeaver; and
  • Utilize Integration Knowledge Databases and Business Process Analysis.

Travel: Up to 50% domestic travel required to various and unanticipated customer sites. Telecommuting permitted.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $140,462 – $168,168. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $140,462- $221,700. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
