Senior Software Engineer Lead, Minecraft

The Minecraft Engineering System team needs a Senior Software Engineer Lead to lead our Test Automation team. This team supports Mojang Studio’s ability to ship high quality releases via our in-game test framework and Continuous Delivery services and practices. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer Lead with experience building Azure services with technologies like C#/Azure Kubernetes, as well as C++ client or game engine code. You’ll work with developers across the organization who are building and running tests, to make their development process easy and efficient. In this role, you will empower Mojang Studios to delight new players, provide innovative content, and expand to new platforms and titles for generations to come.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience as an engineering lead
  • Experience with build or test automation frameworks and infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building either native applications or AAA video games on a variety of platforms
  • Familiarity with DevOps/Quality tooling such as Azure pipelines and the AppCenter testing platform, or equivalents from other DevOps ecosystems

Software Engineering M4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.

Responsibilities:
