Security Copilot empowers defenders to detect hidden patterns, harden defenses, and respond to incidents faster with generative artificial intelligence (AI) . While Generative AI has created a new set of possibilities, it’s also created a new set of challenges: hallucination, prompt injection, industry trends change weekly . Our team is at the forefront of both the opportunities and the challenges for Microsoft Security.
We are looking for multiple Senior Software Engineers to join our team and help us explore the new possibilities with generative artificial intelligence.
Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science , or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- E xperience developing cyber security software.
- Experience in data pipelines or distributed systems.
- Experience developing software involving AI or Machine Learning.
- 5+ years of experience in working with Microsoft production systems, such as Azure AME or M365 Torus
Software Engineering IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.
