Microsoft’s OneDrive and SharePoint (ODSP) organization are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to join the Microsoft Syntex team. Microsoft Syntex uses next-generation content services to accelerate our customers’ digital transformation to the cloud. Building on top of SharePoint, Microsoft Search, Azure Cognitive Services and more, we apply machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing from across the company and industry to tackle the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) market, providing document understanding, entity extraction and workflow automation services.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll build partnerships with teams across Microsoft, functioning as scenario and customer experts that can integrate leading artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to help you solve this real problem for Microsoft’s customers.
Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C# or Typescript.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience shipping and interacting with REST API’s and web services across multiple systems.
- Experience designing cloud-scale services and server/service management features.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with secure software design concepts.
- Experience s uccessfully delivering projects that include multiple components.
- Able to learn new systems quickly and adapt new methodologies to our service.
- Experience mentoring and coaching peers and early-in-career engineers.
- Experience collaborating with peers and partner teams to meet joint engineering goals.
Software Engineering IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.

Responsibilities:
We are looking for a front-end or full stack developer to help implement our custom experiences across the Microsoft ecosystem. You will implement custom components that extend APIs from multiple internal partners, including Azure Cognitive Services and SharePoint & OneDrive.
You will interact with Design & Product teams to help define requirements and will implement and measure customer metrics to track the health of your features. As a Senior Software Engineer , you will provide technical leadership to newer developers and help guide our team’s technical strategy and process.
In addition to working with a team of amazing engineers, product managers and designers, you will also engage closely with our partners across Microsoft to build rich content services, advanced ECM functionality and great system fundamentals. This is a team where you can learn a breadth of new technologies and grow as an engineer and leader.
