The Division of Administration provides overall leadership and administrative support for all Divisions. The Division includes the Office of Director, Communications, Fiscal, Human Resources, IT, Legal and Legislative Affairs.

Commerce is comprised of seven operating divisions and two standalone programs that span a variety of industries including real estate, liquor, banking, securities, firefighting, construction and skilled trades, and medical marijuana. Through exceptional compliance practices and oversight, Commerce has a direct role in protecting Ohioans.

What You’ll Do:
- Procures all necessary supplies, materials, and equipment for assigned divisions.
- Requires considerable knowledge of sourcing lifecycle to solicit bids/proposals, evaluate bids/proposals and make recommendations.
- Develops bid specifications where none exist.
- Assures accuracy and correctness of purchase orders, requisitions, and encumbrances.
- Ensures compliance with all established policies and procedures.
- Identifies and targets MBE, EDGE & BuyOhio opportunities.
After in-office training, this position may be eligible to work a hybrid schedule of 2 days/week in office based on management’s discretion.

Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, purchasing, materials management, contracting, acquisition management or logistics, supply chain management, operations management or other sourcing related field; 6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in purchasing/procurement/sourcing. -Or 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in purchasing/procurement/sourcing. -Or 12 mos. exp. as Sourcing Analyst, 64512. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
