The Space planning lead Drug Value will primarily be responsible for supporting the space, assortment and segmentation needs of our top drug/value retailers (Walgreen’s, CVS, Dollar General, Family Dollar) Responsible for providing customer-centric, category level analytics with a heavy focus on shelf leadership for customers in the development of schematics, and overall approach to space allocation and assortment. Proactively recommend category growth opportunities and points of availability with customer. This role develops, recommends, and presents customer specific space merchandising tactics in alignment of channel direction by proactively recommending category growth opportunities and points of inspiration with customers to increase availability of products at retail.
Position Responsibilities
- Enables the system to leverage the power of category, and space tools and technology to drive wins with external customers and positively influence Coca-Cola goal to become our customers’ most valuable supplier and indispensable partner.
- Manage and synthesize diverse data sources to identify business trends and insights into results (Scan data, syndicated resources, custom research, store level observation, etc.)
- Identify opportunities to deliver category and customer growth through fact-based recommendations.
- Lead the dialogue with NAOU customers on strategic placement of Coca-Cola products.
- Train Space planning analysts to design schematics in alignment with company’s merchandising standards, channel direction and customer’s goals and objectives.
- Perform ROI analysis to determine the value of the project and communicate those results to project requester to prioritize and focus on high value-added work.
- Provide analysis and interpretation of internal and external databases (including Nielsen syndicated tools and other ad hoc resources) that assist in understanding business critical trends and performance (both past and future)- see trends emerging and develop hypotheses for critical performance interfaces with coherent solution recommendations.
- Manage customer-specific projects. Work with category manager, sales leads, and customer to identify project parameters.
- Develop scorecard to track / measure project & provide progress updates and results analysis.
- Conduct Post reset analysis.
- Ability to work interchangeably between different space planning technologies (JDA/BlueYonder, Symphony Apollo, Space Man, etc.)
Education: Minimum required: Bachelor’s degree, Preferred: MBA or other graduate degree
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required:
- 5+ Years in CPG Industry
- Strong knowledge of space management principles and analytic techniques
- Technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in JDA Software
- Space Planning
- Batch Printing
- Planogram Converter
- Scripting
- Understanding of CKB
- Understanding of Planogram Generator
Preferred Level:
- 7+ Years in CPG Industry

Base Salary: $116,500 to $145,800
