Job Title : Senior Business Systems Analyst

Job Location : Woodland Hills, CA / Remote

Job Type : Full Time Employment

Salary Range : $125,000 – $150,000 Per Annum + Benefits

Job Functions:

  1. Gather user requirements:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business need, related business processes.
  • Organize, prepare, and lead requirements definition sessions with the business stakeholders and/or SME’s.
  • Document and translate complex business problems into business requirements and functional solutions.
  • Provide the right level of documentation for the audience and objective (i.e. User Stories, BPMN, Wireframes, UML, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • (Document and) confirm business requirements with the client.
  1. Collaborate with the Scrum team/technical staff/source application teams:
  • Effectively communicate the business requirements to technical staff.
  • Assist in design of the proposed technical solution to the business need.
  • Break down business requirements into concise JIRA tickets (Epics, User Stories, Tasks) and define Acceptance Criteria.
  • Answer questions and resolve ambiguities for the developers and QA Engineers during development.
  • Ensure that the software meets project objectives and customer expectations.
  • Be the main point of contact for communication between the project team and the source system owners.
  1. Data analysis:
  • Understand the data available in the source systems and the data needs of the required solution.
  • Prepare data mapping and interface contract documents.
  • Analyze the data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Analyze the quality of the data and identify gaps and potential problems for the solution.
  • Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Help preparing the cutover and data migration plan.
  1. Provide ongoing application support:
  • Document and track reported problems and issues with the application throughout the different test phases and after go-live. Escalate problems as required.
  • Research and resolve issues related to application defects. Coordinate resolution with the technical team and the user community.
  • Assist user management in defining required changes in business processes and documents the required changes.
  • Create application documentation for end-users and technical staff, provide training as needed.
  1. Effectively manage time and priorities:
  • Complete deliverables on-time with limited supervision.
  • Manage multiple work streams, assess priorities and deliver complete, accurate work products.
  • Proactively resolve time conflict issues working with direct management, project managers and the user community.
  • Develop agendas and conduct meetings
  • Document issues discussed and action items assigned for each meeting.

Job Requirements:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business systems and/or data analysis
  • Experience in gathering specifications in big development projects for web-based applications
  • Experience in working in Agile teams
  • Strong data analysis experience
