The Technology & Engineering Sourcing team has an opening for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager.

The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager will manage Software/SaaS category, work with our internal customers, partners, stakeholders, and vendors to define requirements, propose solutions, and drive software sourcing negotiations. The candidate will have significant experience in managing people, solving complex business challenges, IT software contract negotiations, and the ability to drive cross functional initiatives.

This position can be based out of any of our four headquarters in Pleasanton, CA: Boise, ID, Phoenix, AZ or Plano TX or our Seattle, WA Division office.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of sourcing managers managing complex sourcing projects and solutions.
  • Develop the Software/ SaaS category sourcing strategies.
  • Drive stakeholder identification and engagement, including building relationships with internal clients and understand their business priorities.
  • Identify and build cost savings opportunity pipeline. Drive and influence internal clients to increase sourcing’s value proposition.
  • Create and manage the RFx process for the assigned category.
  • Develop negotiation plans. Oversee contract development, including drafting of business terms, and understand total contract interplay of the proposed terms and conditions. Negotiate contracts with IT vendors to minimize business risk.
  • Lead sourcing project charter development and project initiation with cross functional leadership.

California/Washington:

“The salary range is $114,100 to $143,800 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). [If applicable:] Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

  • 4-year college bachelor’s degree in quantitative science, engineering, or business management preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in a multi-national technology or retail corporation.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Solid understanding of IT contracts including SaaS and Software licensing.
  • Outstanding partnering, influencing and complex vendor negotiation skills.
  • Experience in cost modeling for complex projects in a large organization.
  • Experience in evaluating a broad range of technology commercials and presenting business partners with total cost of ownership options.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading complex IT vendor negotiations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and apply to decision making.
  • Ability to prepare presentations and communicate to senior management.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects effectively with prioritization, organization, and time management.
  • Familiarity with Information Technology environment in retail or technology industry.
  • 10% Travel Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of various IT systems and software’s.
  • IT Consulting experience will be a big plus.
  • Masters in quantitative science, engineering or business management is preferred.
  • Work experience in Information Technology industry.
