Amazon Air (AIR) is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to join the AIR Expansion team to lead strategic initiatives. This person will work across various organization including Technology, Procurement, Legal, Network Planning, Network Execution, Service Performance and Gateway Operations to identify, develop and execute a short and long term optimal air network solution to delight our customers with fast and reliable deliveries.
As the Sr. Supply Chain Manager, Global Expansion in Amazon Air, you will be responsible to identify expansion opportunities. You will work with senior leaders to build and approve business and financial plans of record, partner with operations teams to design and incubate operating plans, define operating requirements and prepare for expansion launches.
This position requires an employee’s full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute their job duties to ensure the safety and security of Amazon AIR personnel, third-party contractors, Airport personnel, cargo, and equipment. This position is therefore designated as a safety sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and, where permitted, post-hire drug testing.
Key job responsibilities
– Lead end to end supply chain solution development for an air transportation network
– Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate air transportation opportunities
– Lead operational and technology integration efforts
– Lead regular communication cadence with all stakeholders
– Communicate goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams to gain buy-in and deliver project schedules
– Address barriers through problem solving, communication and active coordination with stakeholders
– Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs (often managing multiple, time-sensitive and high priority initiatives simultaneously) ensuring service requirements are met
– Systematically escalate problems or variances in the operating plan to relevant owners and teams, following through to resolution to ensure solutions are delivered
– Navigate through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments
– Collaborate with Regional & Amazon Air teams to evaluate, develop and get necessary leadership approvals of a proposed Air Transportation solution
– Develop & execute a launch execution plan working with more than 18 different teams
– Work with Tech teams to design an optimal network solution
– Travel up to 20% of the time

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of program or project management experience
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
– Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 4+ years of driving process improvements experience
– Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
– Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
– 5+ years of supply chain management experience within airline operations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
