The Core Data Systems team within Pratt IT is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst with proven technical skills and experience successfully maintaining, configuring and supporting enterprise level systems. The successful candidate will be predominantly responsible for managing the Colleague Student Information System along with providing assistance in the management of our document management system, CRM and integration solutions.
This role will assist the Director and Associate Director of Core Data Systems in projects and initiatives, with a particular focus on providing expertise and best practice in the Student Information System. They will become a main point of contact working with consultants who help maintain and enhance our Student Information System.

The Senior Systems Analyst will:
- Provide assistance, coaching and training to the rest of the team as they support the core systems in our purview to provide a seamless suite of enterprise systems.
- Help support larger communities and in particular resolve support tickets escalated to them for assistance.
- Provide technical leadership and will participate in all stages of Core Data Systems’ projects: information gathering, design, updates, development, implementation, and data connectivity among the multitude of technologies. They will also be involved in the management, enhancement and development of third-party tools, integrations and customizations.
- Be responsible for taking the lead in maintaining our Student Information System (Colleague), performing user and daily systems maintenance, along with similar functions within Salesforce, DocuWare and other peripheral systems. They will be involved in testing, technical documentation, training, and support.
On a typical day you will:
- Provide escalated technical end-user support, including researching user complaints, researching issues, answering technical questions, and/or assisting with application revisions.
- Take the lead in maintaining and scheduling systems for the latest patches and updates along with routine maintenance.
- Monitor, maintain, and upgrade applicable technology systems in assigned areas of responsibility, which includes quality assurance, problem solving, researching user issues, performing upgrades and maintenance, and implementing system modifications.
- Provide support to end-users of the many automations, workflows, tools and applications the department is responsible for.
- Join the team in tackling problems presented to us, sprint planning, weekly project reviews and more.
- Take time out to learn new skills, test solutions, test systems and technically document your work.
- Work with the Cyber Security team with implementing necessary core system security protocols to ensure the safety and security of core system data.
The Salary Range is $85k-$90k.
This is a hybrid remote/on-site position.
Qualifications
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field or equivalent experience is required.
Experience:
- Proven working experience as a systems engineer.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with SQL Server and other reporting packages (Business Objects, Tableau, databases (SQL, mySQL), middleware.
- Experience with Ellucian Colleague is a strong preference. Experience with, Salesforce, LincWare and/or DocuWare is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communications skills as well as demonstrated ability to use independent judgment and discretion.
- Communicate effectively through oral and written mediums
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of system analysis and design principles.
- Working knowledge of project management principles.
- Database management and/or administration principles.
- Ability to follow instructions and read/interpret technical documentation.
- Ability to work to standards and conventions and develop appropriate routines to complete duties.
- Proven Ability to learn new software.
- Skills in evaluating and designing new systems and applying them to new or existing business processes.
- Ability to work well with diverse populations; and demonstrated level of intercultural competence.
