Role : Senior Technical Accountant
Location : West Chester, PA
Pay : $52 – $55 / hour
Responsibilities:
- Prepares technical accounting memorandums and pro formas for complex and unique transactions including activity such as purchase accounting and reinsurance accounting.
- Develops and maintains company accounting policies balancing accounting guidance requirements, company operations, and system capabilities.
- Contributes to financial close cycles as necessary for reporting.
- Contributes to annual audited financial statements including preparation of statement of cash flows and footnotes.
- Establishes, modifies, documents, and implements financial control procedures.
- Supports fulfillment of requests from external audit, internal audit, state insurance departments and/or other regulatory authorities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of public accounting or a mix of public accounting and insurance/financial services
- CPA & Insurance background preferred
