Senior Technical Product Manager

As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will help developers build more secure, resilient, and robust applications and services across Microsoft? We are the Identity and Network Access Division, an organization tasked with building mission-critical tools and services to secure Microsoft’s important digital assets.

Come join the Identity team at Microsoft to help teams across Microsoft upgrade their builds, deployment infrastructure, and reporting to drive adoption of cutting edge security innovation and ensure services follow the Zero Trust Policies.

You will have experience in building and extending secure software development patterns and practices across multiple teams, applications, and services. They are highly technical, can work across team and organizational boundaries, and are able to align multiple groups around a unified set of goals and initiatives. They should be comfortable with ambiguity and have experience with cross-functional leadership to build alignment for large-scale efforts such as product architecture changes and software lifecycle management.

Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.

Product Management IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 – $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 – $238,600 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Build cross-divisional alignment for security initiatives, establish Key Result metrics for adoption of secure identity patterns.
  • Drive and track progress on KRs. Produce reports for Microsoft’s Senior Leadership Team to visualize progress in securing Microsoft against an ever-growing list of global threat actors.
  • Ensure that all of Microsoft’s services move to standard authentication and authorization libraries to enhance our ability to protect both internal and customer data.
  • Work with partner teams to identify and eliminate insecure anti-patterns, such as overprivileged service-to-service access and the use of app secrets and passwords across the Microsoft product ecosystem.
  • Understand migration blockers, feature gaps, and migration challenges. Prioritize blockers and coordinate feature development with engineers in the Identity team to ensure timely product delivery. Contribute technical expertise to product development.
