Senior Technical Program Manager (Data Engineering & Analytics), Workforce Intelligence

The Senior Technical Program Manager will define, and implement multiple data and web-based solutions on a global scale. You will partner with engineering teams in North America and Europe to define software development principles and goals for the global Workforce Intelligence organizations. You will quantify problems, solutions, estimate engineering effort, and roll out new systems (and updates) which adhere to said principles. You will collaborate with research and data scientists to implement algorithms into your customer’s daily business, and support teams to ensure operational excellence. In addition, you will be an independent assessor and developer of technical talent throughout the organization.

About the team

The Workforce Intelligence team supports the Workforce Staffing organization by transforming data into insights on high volume hiring within Amazon. While WFS is responsible for the management of the Tier 1 talent supply chain, the Workforce Intelligence team in particular focuses on defining analytics that measure the performance of the program. While we continue to work on metrics that help monitor the health of the program we also spend efforts on identifying efficiencies in the process path through the power of data and predictive analytics.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

– 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

– 3+ years of software development experience

– 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

– Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
