Senior Technical Program Manager Intern

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive the delivery of a critical program that includes teams across disciplines. This role requires excellent leadership skills to build trust and drive alignment.

Key job responsibilities
• Collaborate with leadership from various departments to ensure effective cross-functional communication, aligning goals, and driving successful outcomes
• Implement and drive system release process across multiple teams
• Manage daily builds, pre-release testing, software pipelines, build promotion, release logistics, and release related communication and documentation
• Identify ways to optimize, accelerate, and automate the system release process

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently enrolled in an MBA, Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Hardware Design or related Engineering discipline. Expected graduation date between December 2023 and August 2024.
• Experience with hardware/software integration, hardware development lifecycle of product development and real time mission-critical systems, applying machine-learning and scale-out approaches to complex problems.
• Strong Mathematical/Statistical and applied physics fundamentals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of relevant professional or military work experience which occurred after completing your undergraduate program and prior to starting your MBA or master’s program.
• Knowledge of engineering practices & patterns for the full software/hardware/network development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification and Livesite operations.
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch and SLA-driven operations of the project.
• Experience in communicating with customers, technical, regulatory, business teams and management to collect requirements, describe product features, and technical designs.
• Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. Degree, graduating between December 2023 and August 2024.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57.21/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $111.25/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
