In Project Kuiper Enterprise Engineering, we build the software, services, and infrastructure that enable our program to design and engineer the future of LEO Satellite based broadband services. Our team succeeds when the entire Project Kuiper organization can scale as needed to be successful.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager on this team, you will lead the technical planning, coordination, and implementation of multiple programs across this new initiative. Manage the lifecycle (architecture, design, implementation, documentation and measurement) of the teams that are delivering for the programs you manage.
You will work alongside other Program Managers, Product Managers, and Engineers to drive key business initiatives. Collaborate with teams across Amazon on the planning and execution of complex and highly-technical projects with high impact and visibility.
Key job responsibilities
– Manage complex IT infrastructure projects in third party partner facilities
– Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product and feature requirements.
– Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals.
– Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
– Manage project risks and proactively identify and resolve issues that impact project delivery.
– Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
– Work in mission critical environments with data center technologies like HVAC, power systems, cabling, server, and networking

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– 3+ years of software development experience
– 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
